Liz has a desire to foster working relationships between city government and the community she serves. With a goal to manage growth, balance economic vitality, and promote environmental stewardship; she’s helping make Anacortes a sustainable place to live and work.

She is an active member of the City’s council committees, serving on: Public Safety, Public Works, Housing Affordability and Community Resources, Personnel, and Depot Master Planning.

Liz is a mother, sister, and daughter of Anacortes residents.

She has been a small business owner and operator, and is a proud homeowner.

  • Worked diligently to include water management into 2016 comprehensive plan to prevent long-term transfer or leasing of water rights

  • Sponsored resolutions to support Anacortes’ school bond and oil train safety

  • Organized and moderated forum on emergency management of hazardous material transport

  • Was the primary author of the Affordable Housing Strategic Plan


Involvement

Western County Representative for Population Health Trust of Skagit County; Member of the Safe Energy Leadership Alliance; Past Vice President and Advisor for the Anacortes Farmers Market; Participated in Capital Facilities Planning for Anacortes School District; Two-time Past President of Whitney Elementary School PTA; Past Member of Skagit Maritime Resources Committee; Recently honored by Community Actions ‘Profiles in Hope’ for her leadership on Affordable Housing.
